I paid the contractor over $32,000 and he only finished 50%% of the remodel before leaving the state. Mr. Edelblute was able to recover the maximum amount of the contractor's bond, $12,000 and an additional $4,000 from the contractor's insurance company. Because of Mr. Edelblute's hard work, I was able to complete the basement and move on with my life.
